This is the only place Burl & Bowl work is sold. Inventory is deliberately small — a handful of pieces at a time, each one of one. The ring pattern on every unphotographed piece below is generated from its own serial number: like the trees, no two alike.
Each blank is picked for its figure — burl swirl, spalt lines, ray fleck. The wood decides what it wants to be; the tools follow.
Shaped by hand on the lathe, walls trued by feel and sound as much as sight.
Rough-turned bowls rest and dry for weeks while the wood moves and settles, so the finished piece stays true for decades.
Food-safe oils and hand-buffed wax. Signed, numbered, and logged — every piece has a record, and exists exactly once.
Burl & Bowl is Adam White's turning shop in Parker, Colorado. Nothing here is produced — each piece is turned once, finished by hand, and released on this site alone. If you have a tree with a story (a family homestead, a backyard maple that came down), commission it into something that stays.
